Crazy Golf Back at Upminster Mini Golf Course!

After many years of decline, Crazy Golf is back at the Hall Lane, Upminster Mini-Golf Course. The restoration has been carried out by the Friends of Upminster Mini-Golf course and caps off a year of fund raising and dedication by the group members.

Chair of the Friends of Upminster Mini-Golf Group, Priti Chohan, said: “The Friends Group have worked hard over the last few years to bring about improvements to the mini-golf course. The refurbishment of the crazy golf course has been a significant achievement and brings back into use an attraction that will appeal to young and old alike.”

The works were carried out by Craig Lee of Baboas who said: “It has been wonderful to work on a community project and create a new and improved crazy golf course for children to enjoy”.

Joint founder of the Friends Group, Cllr Clarence Barrett, said: “The mini-golf course is a splendid green space and local attraction in the heart of Upminster. The Friends group have gone from strength to strength and, working with the council and the local community, have made huge steps in improving the facility. This is such a valuable green space and a tremendous community asset, having restored the crazy golf the refurbishment of the hut is due to take place shortly and we look forward to further improvements.”

The course is open from 10am to 5pm over the weekends and then every day during the school summer holidays, subject to the weather. Adults £5; Students & over 65’s £3. Clubs, golf balls and scorecards provided. Snacks and cold drinks are also available.
