Chapman’s Farm Planning Application – Residents Pack into Public meeting
Local residents packed into the Cranham Community Centre on Thursday to express concerns over the planning application to build 9 houses on the Green Belt site at Chapman’s Farm (stable yard), Hall Lane.
A presentation outlining the application (P1673.18) was given by Cllr Clarence Barrett with Cllr Gillian Ford and among the many concerns raised were the incursion into the Green Belt, insufficient analysis of wildlife habitat (bats, swallows), poor public transport links, negative visual impact, inaccurate traffic movement assessments, late or no notification of the application to nearby residents, located too close to an accident blackspot and slip road to A127.
The provisional time line of the application is as follows:
- Objections/comments are due by 28th December (please visit P1673.18)
- If recommended for approval, considered by Planning Committee Feb 2019
Notes of the meeting can be found at chapman q.
We will continue to keep you updated on this important matter.
It will be another traffic nightmare, it’s bad enough there now adding flats there would mean more accidents.
