Havering Council have clarified their 30-minute free parking policy, following confusion among some users.

They have confirmed that drivers are allowed only one free parking period per vehicle, per day, in controlled parking areas around the borough. For instance, if you have a free 30-minute period in one part of Upminster, you cannot have another in a different part of the town (or anywhere else in the Borough) on the same day.

Some of the new parking machines have been programmed incorrectly, to allow multiple free periods in different parts of the borough, but these machines are currently being updated to remove this.
