The Wesley Players present “Death Walked In” a thriller by Bettine Manktelow.
Celia Randolph, a lonely and highly strung widow, is struggling to run the small country hotel she inherited. Her charming and rakish stepson, Rex seems unable to take any responsibility and is no help at all to her. Since the new road by-passed the village last year, guests have become even fewer. Now their only resident is Commander Roy Boothby, enjoying retirement from the Intelligence Service.
Sensible school teacher, Joan Mountstevens has decided to return on a romantic pilgrimage: after many years, she still imagines herself in love with Rex. But this time, Eva, her attractive younger sister takes his fancy. Flirtations, jealousy, drugs and cyanide lead to a suicide …. or could it be murder?
