Friends of Upminster Mini Golf AGM – 08 July

The Friends Group of Upminster Mini Golf will be holding their AGM on Monday 8th July at 7.30 pm in Room 10 at the Cranham Community Centre, Marlborough Gardens.

With the future of the course uncertain, it’s more important than ever that there is an opportunity to discuss the way forward for the Group and for others to become more actively involved in opposing the proposed development at this important juncture; perhaps you might like to consider  joining us as a committee member?

We are pleased that our three Ward Councillors will be in attendance to lend their support, and really look forward to welcoming residents who believe in retaining the Mini Golf Course for public use.

  1. I’ve been out of the country for some time and have just got back and come across this article about the proposed selling off of the mini golf course in Upminster. What a disaster this would be for Upminster/Cranham if this were to go ahead. For starters, what about all the beautiful trees there — a lot of recent publicity about the importance of our trees and the massive replanting which is going on in this country to try to control our climate — has had wide coverage only in the past few weeks.

This may already have been proposed but what about Essex Wildlife — who have an excellent reputation — getting involved in this and perhaps turning part of it into a ‘wildlife garden’ so that our local children could learn about our local wildlife.

All this has probably been bought up before now, but just in case it hasn’t I’d like to add my name to protest against this. Aren’t we built-up enough already? Thank you.
