Havering Council recently published a list of grant application opportunities for individuals and groups to apply for. Below are details of some that may be of interest to people in our area –
Grants for Families Facing Financial Hardship Whilst Caring for a Child with a Serious Illness (UK)
Marvellous Family Grants are awarded to families residing in the UK facing financial hardship whilst caring for a child with a serious illness.
Amount: Up to £1,000. Closing date: 12pm on the 30th August 2019.

Funding for Community Based Projects (UK and Overseas)
Current UK funding priorities are: Homelessness, Penal Affairs, Asylum Seekers and Refugees, and Community Based initiatives for Disadvantaged Young People Aged 16 to 25 (to fund programmes that are helping these young people in the job market, with advice, training, volunteering and work placement schemes).
Amount: £5,000. Closing date: 12th September 2019

Funding for the Development and Refurbishment of Football Facilities (England and Wales)
The Premier League & the FA Facilities Fund, which is available on supporting the development of new or refurbished local football facilities, and replaces the previous Facilities Scheme, Build the Game and the Premier League Community Facility Fund.
Eligibility: Football clubs, Schools, Councils, Local sports associations
Amount: £10,000 – £500,000. No closing date stated.

Funding to Bring Heritage Buildings Back into Use (England)
The funding will focus on places where strategic regeneration programmes are planned or are already underway. This includes Heritage Action Zones or places that have secured funding through the Future High Streets Fund.
Eligibility: Charitable Incorporated Organisations, Charitable Companies Limited by Guarantee, Charitable Community Benefit Societies, Community Benefit Societies, Not-for-private profit Companies Limited by Guarantee, Community Interest Companies (CICs) Limited by Guarantee, Co-operatives, Parish and Town Councils.
Amount: Up to £350,000 Closing date: 30th September 2019

Grants for Community Health Projects (England)
Funding for groups that can showcase good practice around patient and citizen involvement in healthcare.
Eligibility: Voluntary groups, Community groups, Social enterprise groups

Walking and Cycling Grants London
Walking and Cycling Grants London is a programme which supports London’s diverse communities to walk and cycle more often and more safely. The programme, funded by Transport for London and administered by Groundwork London, offers grants to projects of over a three-year period.
Eligibility: Organisations interested in walking or cycling.
Amount: Up to £10,000. No closing date stated.
