Havering Astronomical Society talk – Wednesday 31 March

Havering Astronomical Society are holding their next online talk on Wednesday 31 March. Participants can join from at 7.15pm, for a 7.30pm start.

The talk, entitled ‘Comet Interceptor’, is by Stephen Lowry, Professor of Astronomy and Planetary Science at the University of Kent.

Planned for launch in 2029, ‘Comet Interceptor’ is the first mission to travel to and observe a comet or other interstellar object that has never previously visited the inner Solar System. Such comets are important ‘time capsules’, allowing us to learn about the origins of the early Solar System.

If you would like to join the talk please email enquiries@havastro.co.uk or contact Liz on 07706 885 948.
