Havering has Most Green Space in Greater London

Figures compiled by the Urban Studies and Planning Department at the University of Sheffield show that Havering has the highest percentage of joint green urban/farmland space in Greater London. At 60%, Havering is just above Richmond (58%) and Bromley (57%), meanwhile near neighbours Redbridge (44%) and Barking & Dagenham (30%) are some way behind.

In terms of built-up area, Havering has the second lowest density (39%) after Bromley (38%). Redbridge (55%) and Barking & Dagenham (70%) are more built-up, but not as much as Tower Hamlets (86%).
