Havering in Bloom Competition
If you think you have the tallest sunflower or maybe the best front garden in the borough, you could be a winner in this year’s Havering in Bloom competition.
Mark Jones, Havering Council’s Operations Manager in Grounds Maintenance, has helped organise and judge the annual competition for the last 15 years. He said: “The competition is a key part in the borough’s London in Bloom entry. It’s great to see how proud our residents are of their displays, which are really amazing and innovative. And in case you’re wondering, the tallest sunflower we have judged was 14 feet tall (4.26 metres).”
Entry is free, with the deadline for entries being 20 September.
Judging will take place at the end of September with the awards presentations during October. Each digital photo entered must be saved with your first and last name and the category it is entering.
