Hoppy Hall Car Park barrier

For several months, Upminster Ward councillors have regularly been highlighting to Havering Council the need for a replacement vehicle barrier at the entrance to Hoppy Hall car park in Corbets Tey Road.

Councillors were informed that a new one had been ordered but so far the barrier has not been fitted, despite the matter being chased up on several occasions. Havering Council have stated that their supplier is currently unable to provide a suitable barrier.

Upminster Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) have also contacted councillors, as they have been receiving a lot of complaints from local residents. The police recently caught three vehicles being driven dangerously in the car park.

We will continue to push the council to replace the barrier as soon as possible, and keep residents informed in the Bulletin and our website.

  1. Well done!!!!!!!! I’m glad someone’s reported it!😂

  2. Hi, I live close to this car park and also own a metal fabrication business which we would be capable and happy to supply a metal barrier to stop these acts of anti social behaviour

    • Dear Steven,

Thank you for your message. I will pass this onto the UCRA councillors for Upminster.

      Kind regards

      Cllr John Tyler
