Havering Council have highlighted the numbers being used by their local contact tracing service, as some people have been concerned that they may have been contacted by scammers.

Residents being contacted by Havering Council should see the telephone numbers 0203 928 1402 or 01708 434 343 come up when contacted. Nobody the council contacts will be asked for any new personal data or other information, such as bank details.

If residents are suspicious about a call, they should hang up and contact the council’s Covid-19 hotline on 0800 368 5201 or the main council switchboard on 01708 434 343. They can also email: Covid19support@havering.gov.uk  .
