Lower Thames Crossing consultation event
Upminster and Cranham Residents’ Association (UCRA) councillors have been informed by National Highways that there will only be one public consultation event held in Havering on their latest proposals for the Lower Thames Crossing, and this will be in Hornchurch.
UCRA have raised concerns about this, as the residents of Upminster and Cranham are the most likely in the borough to be affected by the new road and there are several venues in our area that would be far more accessible to those not travelling by car.
However, as it stands (18 May 2022), the consultation event will be held between 2-8pm on Friday 27 May 2022 in the North Street Hall, 24 North Street, Hornchurch, RM11 1QX.
LOWER THAMES CROSSING
Last response time for residents to have their say on the latest local refinements consultation is 23.59 today!
I know many residents may have consultation fatigue, but please take time to familiarise yourself with some of the changes as not all of them are considered by National Highways as major enough to draw our attention to, even though they may impact some of you.
Some of the significant local impacts are blurred in the vague detail of the Consultation documentation and maps. These are only evident upon greater scrutiny, and many residents may not have the time to examine the fine detail to fully assess the impacts.
Regardless of your views, there is a lot of information, maps and guidance on how to best to submit your response at https://www.thamescrossingactiongroup.com/local-refinement-consultation-2022-index/
National Highways online form is rather restrictive.
