Nature Fun Day at Thames Chase – 21 July

Thames Chase Forest Centre, Pike Lane, Upminster is hosting the 2019 BioBlitz, a hands-on chance for the whole family to learn how to support biodiversity across the Community Forest.

The event runs from 10am-3pm on Sunday 21 July and is free (no booking necessary).

From creepy-crawlies and woodland beetles, to glorious bees, butterflies and other summer pollinators, this year’s event will add to the rich data from 2018 to build up a better picture of the wildlife that calls this place home. Members of the public work with expert naturalists to identify and record as many different species of plant, birds, mammals and insects as possible.

The event is part of the Mayor of London’s National Park City Festival. You can find out more about the event here.
