No Limited Wait Bays for Cranham Village

Residents will recall that two years ago as part of the Cranham Parking Consultation, proposals were put forward for ‘At Any Time’ waiting restrictions and Limited Wait Bays for 90 minutes (the same as Avon Road), outside the shops in Front Lane. This was agreed by the Highways Committee. Moor Lane had been left off of the proposals and a subsequent scheme was approved for this location in June, with a consultation to follow soon after.

Havering Councils Conservative led Administration, has now put a stop to both of these agreed proposals, with the aim of introducing Pay and Display machines in the Village “as part of the wider parking strategy which was agreed at Cabinet – to introduce Controlled Parking zones around stations that serve the borough”. Whilst these locations are clearly not near a station, we will be consulting with Cranham retailers to hear their views as to a way forward.
