Havering Council have announced a £500,000 package of support for adult social care providers, personal assistants and the voluntary sector to alleviate COVID-19 related financial pressures.

The Council tendered for voluntary sector services to meet three outcomes (carers supported, social inclusion, peer support to build resilience). As a result the following voluntary sector providers who deliver these services in Havering will receive extra funding-

• Age UK
• Carers of Barking & Dagenham
• Havering Association for People with Disabilities
• Havering Mind
• Sycamore Trust
• Tapestry

The Council also has approximately 180 accredited personal assistants who provide one-to-one support to vulnerable adults in Havering via direct payments.
