Recent Removal of Tree in Station Road
The Residents’ Association have been contacted by local people to ask why that a large tree has been cut down by the council in Station Road, Upminster, outside the Halifax Bank.
We have been informed that unfortunately it was necessary to cut down the tree as it had been attacked by a fungus. For those able to take a look at the stump, a dark ring denotes the presence of this fungus.
It is normal practice for the council to replace such trees but it is a shame that one of the largest ones in this part of Upminster has succumbed to disease.
