Independent Age, a charity that supports the over-65’s, has recently launched a free service in Barking and Dagenham and Havering, called Reconnections, for people who are feeling lonely and would like to connect with new people, activities or interests. People can self-refer or their relatives or friends can do it for them, as can health professionals.
