Refuse collections missed on Rivers Estate

Havering Council have asked that residents in the roads listed below, who have not had their refuse collected, leave their orange and black rubbish bags outside in the usual way by 7am on Monday (30 March). The Council apologise for what has happened.

The Upminster and Cranham Residents’ Association councillors are aware that the Council’s contractors have significant numbers of staff missing and the remaining crews are working as hard as they can to complete outstanding rounds.

The roads affected are: Severn Drive, Dart Close, Fleet Avenue, Clyde Crescent and Dee Close.

  1. Also Isis Drive and some others.

  2. The rubbish and recycling has now been collected (Monday), but serious concerns for the dustmen, crowded round the back of the lorry throwing in the bags and then all travelling together in the cab of the lorry.
No social distancing for them and none wearing masks.
Very concerning for their health and safety.
Big shout out and gratitude for these guys doing an essential job.
