Residents’ Association litter pick in Cranham Brickfields

This morning (Saturday 18 September 2021), Cranham Ward RA councillors Gillian Ford and John Tyler, were joined by Upminster and Cranham Residents’ Association team member, Oscar Ford, and John’s daughter, Jessica, as we went litter picking in the woods in Cranham Brickfields.

We were pleased to find a lot less litter along the paths than the last time we did this, and so we concentrated on clearing a section of woods that had years of collected litter, including a number of large metal objects.

Thanks to all of the people that gave us encouragement. If you would like to join us next time we do a litter pick in the Brickfields, please fill in a contact form and we will add you to our volunteers list.

Below are a couple of photos which show what we collected. We have contacted Havering Council to arrange for the litter to be picked-up.

  1. Met you while dog walking and would like to give you all a big thank you for the litter picking and accumulation of metal objects you removed from Frank’s Wood. You really do ‘get your hands dirty’ and not just voice our needs. Thank you!

  2. Hello, we would like to be notified of the next Cranham community initiative, thanks.
