Wrong Turn Sends Articulated Lorry up The Chase
The Police attended the stranded lorry at the top of The Chase
A 45 tonne 60ft articulated lorry made a wrong turn at the Wantz Bridge roundabout (junction of Front Lane/St Mary’s Lane) on Thursday afternoon, driving up The Chase and ending up in a field by Cranham Marsh.
The lorry may have been too high to go under the railway bridge and, in an attempt to negotiate a turnaround, ended up some 500m away in the field.
The lorry was eventually guided out with the help of the police and local land owner.
