Spring and Summer Challenge

Each year councillors receive calls and letters from residents with concerns over blocked pathways. We all enjoy the spring bulbs, blossom, greenness of the grass and the pending summer months. One down side is the growth of shrubs and bushes that may require maintenance. I, like others, have plants and shrubs on my front boundary wall that may start to block the pavement outside of my property – I can already see that we need to do some pruning! Please ensure you consider any foliage that has overgrown and restricting pedestrians, motorised vehicles and mothers with pushchairs and prams. Also be mindful of shrubs and plants that are sharp at children’s eye-level that could cause harm.
