Stand up to Cancer Charity Event – A Special Thank You
We have been asked to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the recent Cancer Research charity event at the stables in Harwood Hall Lane, Upminster. Jake Morgan, 22, is the inspiration behind the charity livery horse show that was held on Saturday 14th September 2019.
Kelly Smith, Sophia Pittaway and Donna Halcrow, who stable their horses at Harwood E.C, decided to ‘Stand up to Cancer’ for Jake, his family and all of those who have been affected by the disease. Overall the show managed to raise an astounding amount of over £2,000!
Kelly said, “We are very grateful for all of the help we received. To get this level of support in such a short space of time (having organised this in just two to three weeks) was incredible”.

The horse show saw a great turn out and tremendous effort made by all, especially the entries in the fancy-dress competition, the riders and horses were a fabulous spectacle for all!
The show also included inflatables, face painting, soft play, garden games and refreshments, and was described as a great family fun day, with many requesting a repeat for next year!
