You may recently have seen a works compound set up on the green in Front Lane opposite Griffin Avenue . This has been causing a problem for pedestrians, obstructing their line of sight of oncoming traffic.

I have followed this up and have now received the following response from the council:

Thank you for your enquiry regarding our contractors compound located on Front Lane.

Upon receipt of your enquiry we have instructed our contractors Breyer Group to move their work compound further back on the green so that sight lines along the road are no longer obstructed. This will take place on 15th July 2019. I will follow up on this date to ensure that this has been completed.

The work being conducted is likely to run for six weeks, the compounds will then be removed in their entirety.
