Upminster once the jewel of Havering seems to be deteriorating rapidly,The Approach between Corbets Tey Road and Elm Avenue is a disgrace and embarrassment to Upminster.Overgrown weeds and other plants,when they are trimmed back ,which is very rare,the cuttings are just abandoned instead of being taken away.If it’s contractors or council is their any supervision or quality control.This road would look so much better if the gardening was done properly.
Upminster town centre,the flower tubs really,there are no flowers only weeds which look unsightly,again no quality control yet our council taxes are higher than Westminster !
Someone in the council is responsible yet when contacting them which in itself is some achievement,they deny responsibility and tell you to contact another

we got all this comming to the movers lane flyover after this is finished and it exspected to take 4 years so the local paper and news letters sent out

You won't get affordable housing there .Seems to me someone will do very well (developer) in that location shame the pitch and put got intentionally run down loved the place in the 70s .left that area late 80s returned recently and it seems to me the plan is if its green build on it .

Dear Dawn,

There have been many rumours flying around since the initial planning application went in. Whilst there cannot be any guarantee that an organisation won’t block book rooms, we have been told that Travelodge’s business model does not include this sort of thing for newly built hotels. It has been suggested to us that the likely clientele will be business people and workmen during the week, tourists to London wanting to stay on the outskirts of the city rather than pay inflated inner London prices, and people attending local functions, such as weddings etc. at weekends.

We have 3 schools in 5 min walking distance.

Dear Mark,

The roads should have both sides done at the same time when they are sprayed. I will report this to my Upminster Ward colleagues, for them to look into the matter and report it to the council.
