On the night prices: Adults £9. Children over the age of 3, £7. Under 3’s free.

Both are welcome improvements to the play areas, for families across the ward, and are in addition to the ball court and new equipment installed in Hall Lane Playing Fields over the last couple of years, also using money obtained from the Mini Golf site developers.

The company has apparently put contingency plans in place and will be bringing in staff from outside our area to cover the rounds, collecting black and orange sacks as normal. However, some disruption to garden waste and communal bin collections is possible.

Residents are advised to leave their sacks outside their homes as normal, but to check the council website havering.gov.uk for updates, in case there is any disruption.

If your collection is missed, this should be reported as normal via Havering – Report a missed collection .

• Consider using a steering wheel lock or other approved security devices
• Keep vehicle keys away from doors and windows inside your home and consider using a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday pouch) for keyless vehicles
• Ensure your vehicle alarm and immobiliser are activated and functioning correctly
• Report any suspicious activity, persons, or vehicles to police immediately
• If you witness a crime in progress, call 999. For non-emergency matters, please report information online or by calling 101

During these dates, Briarleas Gardens will remain open to vehicular traffic, whilst certain areas of footway may be restricted to facilitate the works.

Should the programme be delayed due to bad weather or mechanical breakdown, yellow signboards will be erected at the entrance to Briarleas Gardens, indicating any revised dates.
