The Windmill will be open on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October 2025, with sails turning subject to weather.

As ever there will be activities for all ages, including a spooky Halloween trail in the garden for kids. Or come and learn about the families who owned the windmill during its working life, and both see and try to imagine how some of their personal and domestic possessions from a hundred years ago measure up to what we use and expect today.

Windmill tours are available both days – Adults £6, Children £2 (Minimum height 100cm). Closed in footwear is required. Entry is free to the site, the garden and the Visitor Centre, where refreshments will be available.

The Garden and the Visitor Centre will also be open for refreshments from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday 22 October 2025, where you can relax with tea/coffee and a cake in the award winning garden.
