A welcome recent Government announcement, was that they have abandoned plans to abolish Healthwatch England, following widespread opposition.

Healthwatch England is an independent patient watchdog, with branches across the country, including Healthwatch Havering. They collect patient feedback and highlight concerns regarding healthcare provision. Their abolition would have meant that there would have been less independent scrutiny of our health services.
