Cappella Singers of Upminster

The Cappella Singers of Upminster have asked us to publicise their group, which we are happy to do below.

Would you like to join the Cappella Singers of Upminster?

The Cappella Singers have been performing in Upminster for over 50 years. We are a chamber choir, meaning that we sing ‘chamber music’ – that is: madrigals, motets, part-songs and the like.

Our repertoire includes music by living composers such as the ever-popular John Rutter, as well as classical work by such as Brahms and Mendelssohn, and early music by William Byrd and others.

We are now rehearsing for a Christmas concert in early December, which will include (of course!) a number of carols. We meet on Thursday evenings, 7.30 – 9.30 at Trinity United Reformed Church, Station Road, Upminster. We currently have 16 singers and could do with more.

We would welcome new members – especially men!

If you are interested in joining the choir please contact Ian Pirie on 01708 641 718, email: ian_michael_pirie@btinternet.com  .
