Highways England have announced that Balfour Beatty are to carry out some further survey works relating to the proposed Lower Thames Crossing, on private fields near to Pea Lane, Upminster. The works are due to take place from Monday 01 to Wednesday 03 February, and Wednesday 17 to Friday 19 February, both between 9:30am and 3:00pm.

During this period, road users may experience short waiting times during the arrival and departure of larger vehicles. This is due to the narrowness of Pea Lane.

The work is being done to better understand the underground utilities in the vicinity of the proposed route. For further details, visit the Highways England trial trenching web page.
