The Wesley Players present The Book of Will

The Wesley Players will be staging The Book of Will by Lauren Gunderson, a moving drama inspired by true events.

A story of love, loss, and laughter as Henry, John, Alice, Elizabeth and Rebecca fight to preserve the works of their friend, William Shakespeare, before they are lost forever. Set in 1619 on London’s vibrant South Bank, they face fire, grief, empty purses and ruthless publishers, in a race to create the very first folio. Step back in time and witness the extraordinary effort that saved Shakespeare’s words and shaped the theatre we know today!

The performances will be held at Upminster Methodist Church, 10 Hall Lane, Upminster RM14 1AE, at 8pm on Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May 2026, with a Matinee at 4pm on Saturday 16 May.
