Acceptance of Tithe Barn National Highways Company Funding
Havering Council have confirmed that they have entered into a grant agreement with National Highways to receive £650,000 to carry out essential renovation and improvement works at the Tithe Barn in Hall Lane.
This money forms part of funding ring-fenced by the Department for Transport for projects adjacent to the M25 in the area of the proposed new Lower Thames Crossing (LTC). The funding is, however, not dependant on whether the LTC is given final go-ahead or not.
Further details are available via the council’s Acceptance of Tithe Barn National Highways Company Funding webpage.
Cranham Ward councillors would like to place on record their thanks to all those involved in securing the grant, which is badly needed to maintain one of our most important local historic buildings.
