Thames Water are currently constructing a new public foul sewer along Aveley Road, between the junction with Gerpins Lane and outside 9 Aveley Road. The scheme has been designed to enable properties along Aveley Road to connect into the public sewer network via gravity drainage, replacing existing private drainage arrangements.

The works are scheduled to continue until near the end of July 2026, Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm, with Saturday working only where required. Temporary traffic lights will be in place during the works.
