Burst water pipe Front Lane/Avon Road
(Update 9.45pm 21 July 2022)
Regarding the burst water pipe that occurred in Front Lane at the junction with Avon Road early on Thursday 21 July 2022, Essex and Suffolk Water have confirmed that the initial repair is complete and water has been restored to businesses and households.
However, one side of the road at the junction is currently up and UK Power Networks are on site dealing with the effects that the escaping water had on the electricity cables around the leak. In particular, the pedestrian lights are no longer working and will need repair.
There are 4-way controlled temporary traffic lights in place, which according to Havering Council’s website, may be in place for a number of days.
Transport for London’s (TfL) website is also showing that Bus routes 248 and 346 are on diversions, with the 248 not currently including the loop Front Lane (north of Avon Road)/Roseberry Gardens/Waycross Road/Brunswick Avenue.
