Churches Together in Upminster, Cranham & North Ockendon have asked us to highlight the following events over the Easter period –

Good Friday Service in the Park – Upminster Park, Corbets Tey Road, Upminster on 03 April 2026, at 10.30am (or if wet, in Trinity Church, Station Road).

This is an open-air gathering of the local Christian churches, residents and visitors, to remember the death of Jesus Christ on this solemn day.

Hornchurch Passion Play – In the grounds outside the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch.

This takes place every 3-4 years and is a free, open-air representation of the last few days of the life of Jesus Christ, including the Last Supper, arrest, trial, crucifiction and resurrection, played out by local volunteer actors, and is one of relatively few in the country. It’s on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday, 03 – 05 April 2026 from 7.30pm. Please bring your family & friends and be part of the crowd!
