Following contact from a resident who had seen orange recycling sacks being placed in the same compartment of a bin lorry as the black sacks, Cranham Ward Councillor John Tyler contacted the council for clarification as to whether there were any circumstances where this practice is allowed under the present contact.

Havering Council have responded by saying that orange sacks should not be placed in the general waste section of the lorries under any circumstances and have asked to be informed if this happens.

Cllr Tyler is happy to receive reports direct from residents if they see this happening. Please e-mail him via councillorjohn.tyler@havering.gov.uk , giving the date, approximate time and the road name where it occurred. Please also give your name and address, although this will not be passed onto the council.
