Cranham Councillors do ‘litter pick’ in Cranham Brickfields
As part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British September Clean, this morning (15 September), the three Cranham Ward Residents’ Association councillors, Gillian Ford, John Tyler and Linda Van den Hende undertook a litter pick in the main playing field and adjacent woods in Cranham Brickfields.
Using equipment borrowed from Havering Council, we filled up eleven bags of rubbish and also collected larger metal items, such as a canister and a dustbin lid. We have arranged for these to be picked up by Havering Council.
Unfortunately, there is still a lot of rubbish in certain areas of the woods. If anyone else would like to arrange a further litter pick here or any other area of Cranham or Upminster, please see our earlier Community litter picking story for details of how you can loan council equipment.
