Cranham Police Ward Panel meeting

The Cranham Police Ward Panel met on 21 January 2026, and panel members discussed crime trends and other local police related issues with our local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) officers.

In the two and half months from the start of November 2025 there were the following crimes highlighted –

  • Seven Residential burglaries, spread across the ward, but with none on the Dury Falls Estate
  • Fifteen thefts of a vehicle, with two in Dury Falls
  • Twenty three thefts from or interfering with a vehicle. These were again spread across the ward but none were within Dury Falls

There were no discernible hotspot areas for all of these crimes, but the thefts from vehicle were often from vehicles left unlocked. Police advice is to make sure that your vehicle is locked when left unattended, as thieves know the signs to spot of insecure vehicles.

Our Cranham officers also highlighted incidents of violence against women and girls (VAWG). In the vast majority of cases locally, the persons concerned were known to each other, with no on street hotspot areas.

The Panel members have asked for future figures to be broken down further, to separately show incidents that are not within a building, so that it is easier to identify if there are any public locations where women and girls are more vulnerable to suffer violence.
