Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch is inviting creative children and young people aged 4–18 to take part in its Design a Dame competition for this year’s pantomime, Robin Hood.

Entrants are challenged to create the spectacular finale costume for the larger-than-life character Nanny Molly Coddle, with the winning design professionally made and worn on stage this Christmas. As well as seeing their creation come to life, the winner will enjoy a behind-the-scenes theatre experience, four tickets to press night and a festive panto goodie bag.

Entries close at 9am on Friday 7 August 2026. Designs can be submitted by email to competition@queens-theatre.co.uk or delivered to the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch Box Office.
