Dury Falls 20mph Petition Delivered to Council
A petition to introduce a 20mph zone on the Dury Falls Estate was handed into the Council last month by your Upminster and Cranham Residents’ Association. The petition, with over 100 signatories, expressed concerns about the excessive speed of vehicles travelling through the estate. Furthermore, the introduction of a 20mph zone, as seen in other parts of the borough, would offer the following advantages:
- A reduction in speed levels will make for a safer environment for residents and road users alike
• A 20mph zone will improve the character of the area and quality of life of all residents
• It will also contribute towards a cleaner environment by reducing levels of noise and air pollution
We shall keep you advised as the matter progresses.
Cllr Clarence Barrett
Didn’t not see or sign petition. Would have if known about it !!
Would like a 20mph limit down Park Drive. Why should we have to get up a petition for it. Common sense should prevail and it should be implemented without too much cost. A petition was raised about the speeding in this road, several years ago, which resulted in cushion humps, which make not an iota of difference to the speed of traffic as most vehicles straddle them at least 40 mph
