End of one-hour free on-street parking in Havering
Havering Council has announced that the one-hour free parking in on-street pay and display bays, that was introduced during the pandemic, is going to be removed.
- Motorists will once again be required to pay £1.50 for the first hour for on-street parking.
- The current 20% discount for using the RingGo app in council car parks will also be removed.
The decision was ratified by the Council Administration’s Cabinet on Wednesday 28 September 2022.
Shame to see this happening under a Residents administration. A kick in the teeth for local businesses as we enter recession.
Damian White was vilified for doing this, will the RA leader of Council be treated the same? Or will it finally be recognised that there is a great need for funds to be generated.
