If you’re looking for something fun to do with children over the half term, Engayne Primary School are running their annual Scarecrow Trail from Sunday 25 October to Monday 02 November 2026.

Each year around 40 families and businesses in the local area take part and build a scarecrow, with displays becoming more and more extravagant each year!

If you live within walking distance to the school, you can sign up to enter your own scarecrow creation for £5.00 via their website. The overall winner wins a £50 Amazon voucher courtesy of Accord Sales and Lettings.

Maps to walk the trail can be purchased for £3.00 via their website www.pta-events.co.uk/friendsofengayne .

Don’t forget to vote for your favourite. It really is a lovely walk to take on an autumnal day and great fun for all ages.
