Gerpins Lane Centre – Booking now needed for DIY waste
From 01 January 2024 anyone wishing to dispose of DIY or renovation waste at Gerpins Lane re-use and recycling centre will have to book with East London Waste Authority (ELWA) via their website . The same applies for any other ELWA centres in Barking and Dagenham, Newham and Redbridge.
Anyone using a van or trailer to bring commercial or restricted waste to the tip also needs to book (maximum 12 visits in a rolling 12-month period).
In addition to the time-saving aspect, the booking system has brought about a sense of order to the facility. The designated time slots ensure that the center is not overcrowded, making it easier to navigate and dispose of my DIY waste without any unnecessary delays. I appreciate the initiative taken by Gerpins Lane Centre in implementing this user-friendly approach. It has undeniably transformed my perception of waste disposal, turning what used to be a tedious task into a well-organized and stress-free experience. Kudos to the team for making a positive impact on our community’s waste management practices! https://www.ourgreenstreets.org/org/balby-recycling-centre/
This will result in an increase of fly tipping…. Shame on them!
Do you need to book a van as I need to dispose a single bed
Dear Paul,
Please visit their website for further information regarding booking etc.
Kind regards
