Following recent contact from a resident, we would like to highlight that although the published closing time at the Gerpins Lane Reuse and Recycling Centre is 5.45pm Monday to Sunday, last entry is in fact 15 minutes earlier at 5.30pm.

The following advice is also on their website eastlondonwaste.gov.uk/gerpins-lane/  –

‘Please make sure you arrive well before these closing times as there may be long queues. If a queue will prevent you accessing before the site’s closing time, you will be advised to use an alternative site or try again another day.

07:30 – 17:45 Monday – Sunday (last entry 17:30)

07:30 – 16:30 Christmas Eve (last entry 16:15)

Christmas Day – Closed

09:30 – 16:00 Boxing Day (last entry 15:45)

07:30 – 16:30 New Year’s Eve (last entry 16:15)

09:30 – 16:00 New Year’s Day (last entry 15:45)

Unless stated otherwise, there will no change to opening times on Bank Holidays.’
