Lower Thames Crossing – More survey works in Pea Lane
We have just been informed that Highways England are carrying out further survey works relating to the proposed Lower Thames Crossing, on private fields near to Pea Lane, Upminster this week. The works started today (Thursday 18 March) and are due to continue on weekdays only until Tuesday 23 March, from 9:30am to 3:00pm.
During these periods, road users may experience short waiting times during the arrival and departure of larger vehicles. This is due to the narrowness of Pea Lane.
The work is being done to better understand the underground utilities in the vicinity of the proposed route. For further details, visit the Highways England trial trenching web page.
