Highways England have informed us that Balfour Beatty are carrying out survey works relating to the proposed Lower Thames Crossing on private fields near to Pea Lane, Upminster this week. The works started today (Monday 01 March) and are due to continue until Wednesday this week, from 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Further works are due to take place in Pea Lane between Wednesday 17 and Friday 19 March, at the same times.

During these periods, road users may experience short waiting times during the arrival and departure of larger vehicles. This is due to the narrowness of Pea Lane.

The work is being done to better understand the underground utilities in the vicinity of the proposed route. For further details, visit the Highways England trial trenching web page.
