Queen’s Hospital car park closure
Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) have announced that the multi-storey car park at Queen’s Hospital in Romford will be closed for essential maintenance work from Saturday 20 July to Saturday 10 August 2024. After that, further works on the car park will continue until Saturday 14 September 2024, with a reduced number of parking spaces likely during this period.
BHRUT have given the following information regarding the closure –
During this time, our advice is to avoid driving to the hospital if possible.
Residents with blue badges, cancer patients, dialysis patients and those entitled to concessionary parking will be unaffected. There will also be emergency parking available for women who are about to give birth.
All other patients should travel by alternative means, such as using one of the eight bus routes that come into the hospital grounds.
Drop off spaces will remain available in the usual places outside the Urgent Treatment Centre, maternity and near to the main entrance.
Patients who are seriously unwell and who are brought in by ambulance will not be affected.
More information about this and about how you can plan ahead to minimise disruption to your journey and treatment, is available on the BHRUT car parking page.
