Havering Council have informed us that resurfacing works will be taking place between 9.30am and 3pm each day on Monday 20 to Thursday 23 July 2026. During these times Avon Road will be closed to through traffic between Hall Lane and Front Lane, with diversions in place.

Residents in Avon Road and the surrounding roads likely to be affected by the works, will be receiving letters from the council.

Should the works be delayed due to bad weather or a mechanical issue, then signs will be put up with information of revised dates.

To facilitate the works, waste collections within the area on Thursday 23 July 2026 will be collected prior to 8am, so all rubbish and recycling sacks must be kerbside by 7am.
