Resurfacing of Avon Road, Cranham

Several residents have contacted Cranham Ward Councillors recently, regarding the poor condition of Avon Road. It was due to be resurfaced in the Autumn of 2025 but this was unable to be undertaken at that time.

The reason for this is that the diversion required to close Avon Road relies on Hall Lane, which is also part of the Transport for London (TfL) diversion route for the Gallows Corner Flyover replacement. Because of this, and the delay in completing the Gallows Corner works, Havering Council had to postpone the Avon Road resurfacing.

Once the council have received a confirmed (rather than estimated) completion date for the Gallows Corner work, they will be able to reschedule the resurfacing of Avon Road.
