Stewart Avenue Allotments (SAA) will be opening their gates for it’s annual Summer Open Day on Saturday 15 August 2026, between 10am and 1pm, as part of the National Allotments week.

Visitors will be able to peruse the wide variety of plots on the site and see what is growing, as well as viewing the entries in the Allotment Show. In addition, there will be refreshment stalls selling tea, coffee and home baked cakes, plant and produce stalls, kids activities, raffles and the opportunity for horticultural discussion.

Entry is free, although donations will be welcome.

Visitors should come to the main allotment gates at the end of Stewart Avenue. There is no parking on the site but on street parking is available in Southview Drive, a short walk away through the public footpath to Stewart Avenue.

SAA are privileged to be able to support Saint Francis Hospice and Little Havens Hospice. Over the last three years they have donated over £3,000 and £2,000 respectively from their fundraising events, thanks to plot holders, donations and the generosity of their visitors.
