Upminster Ward councillors haver recently been liaising with council officers regarding a number of trees in St. Mary’s Lane, between the roadway and the footway at the front of the green near to Upminster Windmill.

Unfortunately, six of the trees (three sycamore, one hawthorn and two ash) are in a dangerous condition and must be removed, as they pose a threat to safety. Tree removal notices have been placed on each of the trees and the work will take place in the coming weeks.

Havering Council will look to plant replacement trees during a forthcoming tree planting season.
